1919 Soldier Settlement Board Surrender
The First Nation alleges the Crown breached its fiduciary obligation when the First Nation surrendered I.R. No. 102. The First Nation also alleges the sale of land was mismanaged, in that, the reduction in the price of land after the sale and the subsequent overpayment to the Soldier Settlement Board was negligent. The First Nation further alleges that they were not compensated for 840 acres of "waste lands" later discovered to contain valuable minerals. The First Nation asserts they were not compensated for 160 acres of road allowances.
