1910 and 1919 Alienation of Reserve Land FN alleges that Canada made solemn promises to the Wood Mountain Sioux in 1877, including the promise of reserve lands. In 1910, the Sioux understood that all of Twp. 4, Range 4, West of the 3rd meridian had been reserved for them. In 1910, this was changed to exclude the S. 1/2 and the N. 1/2 of Twp. 4.
